Silent Films – Homework

One silent film I looked at when I was at home, was a clip from Charlie Chaplin – The Gold Rush called the Oceana Roll Dance where Charlie Chaplin sat at a dinner table with his friends. Then he picks up his fork and one of his friend’s forks and stabs two bread rolls with each and uses his fingers to dance with the bread rolls on the forks to make them look like shoes doing a quick dance. The piano used in the background of the short film played an important part of this scene, because when the music sped up, that is when the comedy started and when the dance began.
